Staff retention or leadership problem?
New client meeting recently where we discussed their ongoing issue of recruitment and staff retention. It hadn't occurred to them that both were a result of poor management and a lack of leadership.
It's a tough discussion to have. Even tougher to admit where and why it could be the top of the business where the difficulty is emanating from.
There's no easy fix but remedies do exist - you've just got to open to new ideas...
It's not a failure of leadership to admit you're wrong, it is however a failure to dismiss the idea all together or not to act when you know you might be.
